Hotel and Conference Center The main program, exhibits, and marketplace at TypeCon2004 will be located at the Hotel Nikko San Francisco, a beautiful Asian-inspired facility just two blocks off Union Square. Workshops Optional workshops will be held at facilities of TypeCon2004 partners, the San Francisco Center for the Book (SFCB) and the California College of the Arts (CCA). SFCB and CCA are conveniently located down the street from each other in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, making it easy to move between workshops in the two locations. Airline Travel The Bay Area is serviced by several airports, affording travelers competitive ticket pricing on most major airlines. San Francisco International Airport (airport code SFO) is served by many domestic and international carriers, including Air Canada, Air France, Alaska, America West, American, British Airways, Continental, Delta, Frontier, Northwest, United, US Airways, and Virgin Atlantic. Oakland International Airport (airport code OAK) is another excellent option for flying into the Bay Area. OAK is served by several major carriers, including Air Canada, Air France, Alaska, America West, American, Continental, Delta, Mexicana, and United. Low cost carriers Jet Blue and Southwest fly into Oakland, often offering flexible bargain fares. Information regarding ground transportation to and from the airports will be available soon.
